The Water Rescuers

Water rescuers are voluntary helpers dedicated to saving lives in, beside, and on the water. Sylvia Voit is the head of the Volkach Water Rescuers, one of more than five hundred local groups in Bavaria alone. Over the course of one summer, filmmaker Matti Bauer accompanied the 35 year-old mother of twin boys to various exercises and rescue operations that she performed with her husband Marco and their colleagues.
